Your session

I will transform a space in your home in to my studio, using natural light near a window or doors. Older siblings and parents are encouraged to be involved in the session, this is more than taking pictures of your baby, it is making memories of your family in this moment. I will take time to get to know any siblings so that they can relax and feel comfortable. When you book your session you will be sent a questionnaire to complete, and this really helps me to get to know your family and build a connection with your children. When they feel included in the session we can capture precious memories of your children and family together.

For Mums I have a client wardrobe that I am continually adding pieces to. Before your session you will be sent images of the dresses which you are welcome to select, or take inspiration from if you would like to wear something of your own. You will also be sent a Style Guide to give you ideas on colours to wear, clothes that work better for your photos, and things to think about when choosing your outfits. These photographs will be on your walls and in your family for a long time. I want you to look and feel your best, and through years of photographing families know what works well, and what should be avoided. Of course, you need to feel happy and comfortable in what you are wearing, and I will be on hand at any point before your session to give advice on what to wear.

For your newborn I have a collection of beautifully handmade and carefully chosen blankets, wraps and outfits. My collection is made up of beautiful, neutral colours, delicate textures and soft fabrics. If there are special blankets or outfits you would like to be included in your session, we will absolutely use those to create beautiful heirloom images.

Please know that this is your session, and we will work together from booking to delivery of your images. I will make sure you are prepared with my Session Guide, I will be available to answer any questions you have before your session, and will ensure you feel beautiful and relaxed throughout, to create timeless portraits of your family.
